Bombay High Court Quashed the F.I.R. under Section 498-A of IPC, against the Husband and family members

The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court by its order dated 12.11.2021 Quashed the F.I.R. under Section 498-A of IPC Registered Vide Crime no. 591/2021 Dated 24.07.2021 at Police Station Gondia City.

The F.I.R. Was Lodged by wife Sau Swati Devendra Aagashe against her Husband Devendra Aagashe and his family members alleging that she has been ill-treated on account of demand of dowry of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

The Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court Comprising Justice M. S. Sonak and Pushpa V. Ganediwala while quashing the F.I.R. observed that the allegations made in the F.I.R. are vague and growing tendency to rope the Husband and her in-laws in a false case of cruelty on account of demand of dowry.
